I was bullied by Mean Girls at school, reveals Lindsay Lohan in Twitter exchange with Katie Couric - She was the target of bullies in her hit film Mean Girls, and it seems the same happened in real life for Lindsay Lohan.

The Liz & Dick actress was moved to tears by chat show host Katie Couric's interview with bullied 16-year-old Whitney Kropp, who was elected prom queen by her peers as a joke, and Lindsay took to twitter to take a stand against bullying.

The 26-year-old, who was spotted in New York on Tuesday, revealed she was targeted by her classmates for landing successful acting roles as a teenager and was mocked for her dysfunctional family situation.

In a message to the talk show host, she wrote: '@katiecouric I think what you did today on your show for #WhitneyKropp was lovely. It had me crying. I'd love to meet her.#stopbullying'.

She continued: 'I was actually bullied @ my public school when i would leave to film. Whenever I came back girls & boys would call me names.

'They would also mock me because of my home situation, when people found out that my father was in jail.'

The tormenting got so bad that the actress - who famously played a school misfit turned bully in teen comedy Mean Girls - decided to drop out of school in favour of home tutoring.

Lindsay added: 'They would yell things, try to trip me & more. I moved to home-schooling instead. In 11th grade. I stuck it out for a while.'

Meanwhile Lindsay wants police to reopen their investigation into the man she claims attacked her.

She filed a report claiming she was choked and thrown to the floor by Christian LaBella after she confronted him for taking pictures of her in a New York City hotel room at the weekend but after police decided to drop all charges, Lindsay revealed she is furious and 'in shock'.

She told the New York Post’s Page Six: 'He isn’t going to get away with this. I’m in shock and it was a really scary situation.'

However, Christian’s uncle Peter Jessop insists his nephew is innocent and blasted Lindsay’s mother Dina Lohan for her remarks about the incident.

He said: 'He doesn’t deserve this. It’s amazing that her mom said, "Thank God he didn’t have a weapon" - of course he didn’t have a weapon. He’s a good kid, he’s worked for two congressmen. He just went to New York for the weekend. Hopefully this doesn’t cost him his job. He is in shock about how the media has twisted this story.'

Lindsay had claimed Christian befriended someone in her group at 1 Oak nightclub with the intention of getting closer to her.

She said they later got into a heated physical argument after she found out he had taken more than 50 photographs of her and was emailing them to his friends.

Lindsay reported the incident to police at 4:30am on Sunday and alleged she was choked from behind and thrown on to the ground in her room at the W Hotel in Manhattan where she was staying with friends. ( dailymail.co.uk )

Lindsay Lohan was exhausted, dehydrated, spokesman says - Lindsay Lohan was exhauste d and dehydrated when paramedics examined her Friday but is doing fine and will continue filming her current movie, a spokesman said.

Paramedics rushed to a Marina del Rey hotel after production workers became concerned that she was ill. She was examined but not hospitalized.

Lohan is filming a Lifetime television movie in which she portrays Elizabeth Taylor.

The incident comes a week after Lohan's Porsche collided with a dump truck on Pacific Coast Highway.

Police are continuing to investigate the crash, when sent Lohan to the hospital for observation.

A spokesman said Lohan is feeling better.

"She is resting now and is hoping to be back on set later this afternoon," spokesman Steve Honig told The Times' Ministry of Gossip.

"Lindsay has been working a grueling schedule for the last couple of days," Honig told the E! News website. " She was exhausted and went back to her room to sleep. Producers were apparently concerned and called the fire department and paramedics found her sleeping but determined that she was fine, just extremely exhausted and slightly dehydrated."

The crash on PCH occurred during an upswing in Lohan's fortunes after several years of incidents that had her in court numerous times. Lohan has said she's learned her lessons from the problems.

She was on probation for a 2007 conviction for driving under the influence. Since then she has also been convicted of shoplifting and was on probation for that offense as well.

Lohan was sent to jail several times for violating the terms of her probation. But she hewed to a strict regimen of community service at the county morgue and counseling. In March, a judge ended her probation in the DUI case and reduced the shoplifting probation to unsupervised status. ( latimes.com )

'My brakes failed': Now Lindsay Lohan tells friends it wasn't her fault she crashed into a truck... after the driver comes forward - First of all it was the driver's fault, then it was her's, now Lindsay Lohan has told friends that crash which wrote off her rented Porshe was down to a mechanical failure.

After the driver of the truck the 25-year-old came forward to claim that the accident was entirely her fault, Lindsay confessed to pals it she couldn't have avoided the crash.

Speaking to TMZ, an insider close to the actress said: 'Lindsay is sticking with the "truck cut me off!!!" story, but with a twist, she claims she slammed on the brakes, but nothing.'

The man in question – who has been identified only as James – told TMZ that he had been minding his own business when he felt the impact of Lindsay’s Porsche.

He said: ‘She came over and hit the back of the truck. Then the car pulled up on the sidewalk.’

And he claims he can prove it, with the help of eyewitnesses who were at the scene.

He said: ‘They have a video of this whole incident.’

The truck driver alleged that he was driving at 40 miles per hour along the Pacific Coast Highway when Lindsay hit him.

Meanwhile, sources told TMZ that Lindsay is insisting that the truck driver has made the whole story up in a possible attempt to extort money out of her.

Apparently she is also telling friends that she never offered him a bribe to keep quiet, as he previously reportedly stated.

Lindsay was taken to the Santa Monica UCLA Hospital following the crash but was discharged after a check-up by doctors.

She then reportedly headed straight from hospital to the set of her latest movie Liz & Dick.

And the starlet reportedly requested to have her injuries covered up with make-up so that she could quickly resume her role, refusing to allow producers to cancel the day of filming.

Her spokesman Steve Honig said yesterday: 'Lindsay was involved in an automobile accident today on her way to the set. She was brought to Santa Monica UCLA hospital as a precaution.

'She is fine and was released less than two hours later and is already headed back to the set to resume work. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the accident.'

Police have confirmed alcohol was not a factor in the crash, which occurred after she rammed a high-end Porsche sports car into the rear of a heavy goods vehicle.

The car looked a write-off as it was driven away in a tow truck, which is sure to be a big disappointment for the rental company the vehicle had been leased from.

Lindsay Lohan moves out of her Venice Beach home, ex-neighbors rejoice - Lindsay Lohan recently moved out of her home in Venice Beach, apparently due to security concerns, but she won’t exactly be getting a fond farewell from her now-former neighbors.

“Everyone is ecstatic that she moved,” one former neighbor told RadarOnline.com. “Goodbye to her and all her drama.

“Since she moved here it’s been a complete circus with a revolving door of friends in and out of her house and paparazzi camped out permanently. Everyone was so sick of her and her constant attention seeking and mess ups.”

The unnamed Venice Beach resident wasn’t alone in their sentiments–another resident joined along in the rejoicing, saying:

“Seriously, every time we heard a siren we hoped and prayed it was the police carting her off again and we would be left in peace. People move to Venice to get away from all the Hollywood bulls**t and everything that she represents, it was a nightmare when she was here.”

Lohan is reportedly staying at the iconic Chateau Marmont luxury hotel for free, courtesy of an unknown friend who rented a room there, but rarely uses it. A source told Radar Online that Lohan’s current living situation is only temporary.
